Truth be told, no matter what we do, or how we take a stand against these types of naysayers they will always be around, lurking in shadows and dark alleys, waiting for some unsuspecting dreamer to come along so they can jump out and pounce, and steal still yet another dream.
If I take up all my time thinking about the negativity and destruction these people cause in the world there would be a chance I would end up just like them.
Instead, I've learned to just smile and I laugh.
When they tell me "you're crazy,” I smile. When they tell me "it won't work this time,” I laugh it off, and let it roll like water off a duck’s back. No matter what kind of verbal kung fu they want to unleash on me in an attempt to defeat my sky’s-the-limit-thinking mind, I have a decisive response at-the-ready. I have inoculated my mind from their affects, rendering their negative poison useless.
It takes time to make yourself immune to their affects. And once you have the antidote, they seem to come in packs, more and more, like heat-seeking missiles honing in on their target. That’s when you have to get your immune system stronger to ward off their attacks, to keep yourself immune to their damage It doesn’t just happen overnight, it took me years -- years of inoculating myself, years of reconditioning myself, years of strengthening my immune system.
Clickin’ Life’s Remote Control….
What if every time you came across a situation where the naysayers ganged up on you and threw you a curve ball, you could simply hit the pause button? "They say I’ll never amount to anything?” Oh, ouch. That doesn't feel good. Let me hit the pause button, and, oh, wait there is also a DELETE button. I will also delete that comment.
Wait a minute, let me check my mental immune-shot records. Ok good. According to my shot records I’m immune to that one…
That advertising campaign just failed and you're flat broke having spent your last dime on it? Naysayers are standing in line waiting to give it to you both barrels. Yikes; no worries, pause, delete and I am also immune to that one as well.

There is no Life Remote Control. Instead you have your mind, your will, your dreams, your desires and your determination to rise above the naysayers. Two Peas In A Pod…..
Look, I’m no different than you. Has this ever crossed your mind? Well, it certainly has crossed mine, and if you’re even a little bit like me, I’m quite sure it has crossed yours as well. Aren’t you sick and tired of hearing all those claims about being able to make huge profits while sitting on your butt at home in your recliner, or the ever so popular, “Never before released, Blah, Blah, Blah,….” or my personal favorite, “The Insiders Secret to this, that, and the other thing for network marketing," only to find out after you paid for the program, downloaded it, cleared the spyware off your computer, finally started to read it, only to find it was a complete waste of your time?
I used to hear about those programs and get all excited, whip out my credit card, make the leap of faith and “reserve my copy today,” as they put it. I can’t wait to read the SECRET or the NEVER-BEFORE-RELEASED information. I reschedule appointments, and cancel dinner reservations, and miss my favorite show on TV only to find another masterful piece of marketing prowess has lured me into buying still yet another ebook I wouldn’t even read to my goldfish for fear it would diminish his IQ points let alone read for my own education.
Well, I’ve decided enough is enough! It’s time to see if those so-called ‘gurus’ can live up to their claims.
I have gone on a buying rampage to find someone, anyone who can live up to their claims to fame, and you know what I found, very few of them actually do. Their ‘how-to manuals’ are more about ‘how much they can make off unsuspecting consumers’ than actually how someone can learn to become successful in this business.
Some Gurus Say The Damnedest Things Don’t They?
I actually had a conversation with a couple such gurus and in their defense they told me, “it’s just a book, if someone expects all their life’s problems to be answered from reading one book then they’re bigger losers than they think, and a book isn’t going to help them one bit.” That’s from the mouth of two highly-acclaimed millionaire-makers.
My jaw hit the floor so hard I think I knocked a tooth loose!
Then the one ‘guru’ said to me, “you wanna know what my ideal seminar would be?” I couldn’t wait to hear this one, so I said, “yes I would love to.” Thinking to myself this has got to be one great seminar he is thinking of, I mean really, this man has been around since the beginning of time judging by how old he looked, and has been a ‘millionaire-maker’ since the early 80’s so this has got to be a great seminar.
I could hardly wait to hear this seminar and millionaire-maker's idea of the ideal seminar, when…..
He took a deep breath, spread his arms wide, his eyes got big, like a kid in the candy store with $50.00 in his pocket. With an excitement in his eyes, and the most energy I have seen in him in the last 2 hours as he began to speak.
“Imagine if you will, a monumental seminar, people coming from all walks of life, from the four corners of the world. The line spanning out past the parking lot of the hotel, traffic jams city wide, people rushing to get in the door. You can see the excitement, the joy, the anticipation in their eyes as they approach the main doors to enter the auditorium. They have their wallets out, with their two forms of ID, and two major credit cards at the ready. They come in the one door, as they pass the table in the back of the room they hand the attendant their credit cards and ID’s, they continue along the back table like the sheep they are, as their credit cards are being processed and at the other end of the table, they sign the slip and go out the other door and drive back home. Saving me the time, the energy, and the expense of having to show up and waste my time speaking to them, since I already know over half of them aren't listening to me anyway. They simply pay me, go home and wait indefinitely for their package to arrive, and when it does arrive, they read the first few pages of the sales letter and then sign up to come to my next boot camp to do it all over again.”
I almost peed myself, I couldn’t believe my ears, I started to laugh as if it was a joke, and I looked over at his counter part, and he agreed that would be the ideal seminar. Then the horrifying truth hit me in the head like a brick, these guys were dead serious; this is not some joke to them; that really is their ideal seminar.
You Don’t Have to be a Magician to Create an Illusion
The Trick, they told me, “is to give them the illusion of learning something, the illusion of this great information for little or next to nothing by comparison. Make them think they are ripping you off by paying you so little.” When these greedy little sheep think they are ripping you off they will give you all their money, and when they finally realize that it’s all been an illusion, it’s too late. The money-back guarantee has expired and their credit card has cleared the bank. The average person won’t read 800 pages of text, let alone listen to 12 dry and boring CDs. They will give up long before then, and they’ll NEVER ask for a refund knowing they are the one to blame for their miserable existence.
Bruised and bloody, my teeth all knocked loose...
I picked my jaw up off the floor AGAIN, thought about what it would be like if I were to call the bank right now and stop payment on the check paid to them for the 8 hours of their time. Talk about a wasted $25,000.00 that sure was an expensive lesson learned.
I am sick and tired of seeing guys like this making millions of dollars off unsuspecting, trusting people like us, selling us crap online, and in the bookstores, and in my case the $25,000.00 to see them in person. Where’s a brick when I need one?
You can find this man’s books at your local bookstore, you might even own a few of his books now. His claim to fame is being able to create millionaires. You might be wondering, “has he really created millionaires?" Well, yes. As a matter of fact, some people have gone out and created a million dollars or more after applying his techniques, then attending his $1,500.00 seminars, then graduated to his $4,500.00 seminar, then graduated to his $15,000.00 seminar, then bought into his $25,000.00 Platinum Membership Package, and then purchased his $75,000.00 a year super-duper octagon table membership.
I have to ask you, is it really necessary to do all this? Are people really willing to throw so much money down the tubes for the hope of something? At least if you were to get involved with a good guy like Mark Victor Hansen who teamed up with Robert G. Allen to produce a couple great books and trainings, you would be a lot better off than you would be with those other so-called millionaire-makers.
